Hello again,

it's time for my last home-reading post this school year. So this time the reading was very interesting and these 60 pages went very quickly. Also, some things went very serious.

So Marya and her new boyfriend-or-something-like-that Sergei come back from the party, where they also spend time with Lindsay and Ben. Ben wants to break up with Lindsay and be with Marya, but Marya likes Sergei too and she doesn't know what to do. She says it is all so complicated. When Sergei drives Marya home, he opens himself and tells Marya that he works for CIA, not KGB. So he is like a ''good guy''. He asks many questions about what Marya knows and Marya gives him some informations. She trusts Sergei from that moment, but she also feels bad about Ben.

So Marya gets home and opens the door, but finds out that police is in their apartment and the worst what she sees - her father lays there, in blood. She starts screaming and the police takes her away and tells her that Pop is dead, probably murdered. Also they found Pop's first and only friend in USA, Gosha too covered in blood. They are trying to figure out who shot first. They also believe that Pop was killed for some information he's got about his wife Sveta. Marya knows what they're talking about. This information is on one CD, but she has no idea where the CD would be in that moment.

Marya goes to Ben's apartment, but Ben is not home. She cries in the apartment and Ben's parents try to console her. Sergei comes and talks to her, but he leaves soon. So Marya runs away from there and tries to find Ben. She finally finds him and Ben tells her what happened in that night yesterday, when Pop was killed. Lindsay and Ben wanted to control if Marya got home and Sergei didn't do anything bad to her. They heard screaming and then ran to Pop's and Marya's apartment and saw Pop with one gun and Gosha with another gun and heard Pop saying: ''Don't tell me that. Don't lie to me!'' And then  they saw that Pop shoot Gosha and Lindsay screamed, Ben tried to hold her back, but he was too late. Then Pop took Lindsay to his tight clasp and started to shoot her too, but Ben took Gosha's gun and shoot Pop. They left Gosha and Pop there and ran away. Marya tries to realise that Ben killed her father. Ben. Ben, who she loves. But Ben says Pop was crazy, he was crazy, because Gosha told him that Sveta, his wife, is dead. It is all such a mess.

So Marya makes a deal with Sergei. She takes the CD from Ben and gives it to Sergei, but she wants immunity to Ben. She says to Sergei that it was self defence. Sergei doesn't believe it but he says he does what he can.

This time it was very dramatic to read, but there were so many excitations. I really liked this time.
