If I Stay 1-66

the new school year has started and I have to go forward with English home-reading. My previous book ''Dancer, daughter, traitor, spy'' is now over, because in the summer I read the last 30 pages from that book. So now it's time for a new book and I have wanted to read that book for a long, long time.

So as my post's title says, the new book is ''If I Stay'', which is written by Gayle Forman. I have heard much about it and the feedback is almost always positive. Many people have said that this book made them cry and made them laugh and gave many different feelings and thoughts to them. So I was pretty excited about going to read it.

The book talks about a girl named Mia, who is going to meet her grandparents on a snowy day. The school has cancelled. Mia and her parents and little brother Teddy start their car ride. Everything seems so usual, they argue about which radio station should be on, and Mia closes her eyes, full of happiness.

And suddenly all of this is gone. Four-ton pickup truck crashes into their car and throws family around. Mia is on the road, almost dead, but her soul can move and see. So she sees his father squashed, pieces of his brain on the asphalt. Her mother seems almost okay, but she is dead. She died instantly, because the truck crashed to the passenger's side. I know, this is awful. Mia needs to find Teddy now, but she doesn't, because she finds herself, covered with blood and she faints. The ambulance takes her to big hospital with a helicopter and she is barely alive. Her brother is taken in to nearer hospital.

Mia tells readers about her boyfriend Adam. She plays cello and Adam is in one band, so they found each other through music. Mia's family don't understand her love to classical music, because her parents listen to pop-music and Teddy plays drums, so it's pretty different. Mia also thinks about her best friend Kim, who comes to see her when she survives the operation. They hated each other in the beginning and everyone thought they will be best friends except themselves. So they had a fray and after that they came best friends, as everyone thought. So it's interesting friendship.

Mia's granparents come to the hospital and want to see her, but the doctors don't let them yet, because Mia is very fragile at this time. So she moves around in the hospital as her soul and she hears her granparents crying and talking about the future with doctors. She wants to help them, but she can't. In that moment she also realises that her parents are really dead. Her world collapses.

These first sixty pages were kind of an introduction to the book and it was pretty thrilling, even it was an introduction. I hope next time the reading will be as interesting as it this time. I am really looking forward to read it again :D.
